The Art of Improvisation and Confidence

Every meeting with Adriana is an exercise in flexibility. While there’s always a general idea, the magic lies in the ability to pivot and seize the unexpected. In our last session, the initial plan was transformed when Adriana found something forgotten in the studio: a piece of lingerie. These accidental finds, remnants of past sessions that people leave behind, often become the perfect catalyst for a new concept.

The beauty of working with someone with Adriana’s experience and confidence is that the production is streamlined, allowing the energy to be focused entirely on composition and emotion. It’s a privilege, for example, to do without a full makeup and hair team; Adriana’s excellent skin and hair are her own styling. This saves us time, but more importantly, it maintains the relaxed atmosphere.

We divided that afternoon into two worlds of wardrobe and styling. The lingerie look was the first. Quickly, the forgotten piece went from being an inert object to a narrative element. The studio lighting was carefully chosen to tell a story of introspection, where each of us contributed ideas. The goal wasn’t just to capture an image, but to document the fluid connection that has developed throughout our collaborations.

Beyond the Image: The Personal Goal

My vision for this type of work goes beyond delivering a technically perfect photograph. It’s about creating a safe space where we can both experiment freely, without the pressure of a commercial commission. For me, the personal goal is simple: to keep the creative flame alive. For Adriana, it’s an opportunity to explore different facets of herself, to use her body as a narrative canvas, and to reaffirm her powerful presence in front of the camera.

When the session ended, after exploring that first look with lingerie and then moving on to a completely different style, the feeling is always the same: a refreshing recharge. These encounters don’t just give us visual material; they give us perspective. They remind us why we started in this, for the pure joy of creation and the satisfaction of breaking, even if only for a few hours, with the monotonous rhythm of everyday life.
